Swimwear Size Guide
Swimwear Size Guide
Designer swimwear sizing is notoriously inconsistent — a Medium in one brand can fit like a Small in another. Use this guide to find your perfect fit before you buy. When in doubt, go by measurements, not size labels.

How to Measure Yourself
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the ground.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest point of your torso, usually about 1 inch above your belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, about 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
Brand-Specific Sizing Notes
Acacia Swimwear
Runs small — size up. Acacia uses minimal stretch fabric in many styles, and their cuts are narrow. If you are between sizes, always go up. A customer who normally wears a Small typically orders a Medium in Acacia. Tops with underwire or structured cups are especially fitted.
Boys + Arrows
Runs true to size with a relaxed, slightly slouchy fit. Boys + Arrows is designed for an effortless, laid-back silhouette. If you prefer a more supportive fit, size down; if you prefer ease and movement, stay true to size.
Frankies Bikinis
True to size. Frankies Bikinis offers consistent, flattering fits across their range. Their triangle tops are adjustable and forgiving across a half-size range. Bottoms have moderate coverage and stretch well. Most customers find their usual size works perfectly.
Beach Bunny
True to size with a body-conscious, curve-hugging fit. Beach Bunny is designed to be worn fitted. If you are between sizes or have a fuller bust, sizing up in the top is recommended. Their one-pieces are particularly true to size and very supportive.
Vitamin A
Runs small to medium — consider sizing up. Vitamin A uses a high-quality recycled nylon with moderate stretch. Their cuts are minimalist and body-close. Customers with curves or a fuller bust often prefer going up one size, especially in underwire and molded cup styles.
ViX (Paula Hermanny)
Runs small — Brazilian sizing. ViX is a Brazilian brand and follows Brazilian sizing conventions, which run approximately one size smaller than US standards. A US Small typically fits a ViX Medium. When in doubt, size up — their fabric has moderate stretch and the extra room will not hurt the look.
L*Space
True to size with a slightly sporty, active fit. L*Space suits tend to have good coverage and support. Their reversible styles use moderate-stretch fabric that accommodates a range of body types within each size.
MIKOH
Runs small to true depending on the style. MIKOH is known for minimal coverage and clean lines. String-tie styles are very adjustable, so sizing is more forgiving. If you prefer more coverage, size up.
Bond-Eye Australia
True to size with a stretchy, supportive fit. Bond-Eye uses high-quality Italian fabric with excellent stretch and recovery. Their one-pieces in particular fit a wide range of body types within each size label.
Finding the Right Fit: Bikini Tops
For bikini tops, your cup shape and band width matter as much as your size label. Triangle tops with adjustable ties are the most forgiving. If you have a fuller bust (D cup or above), look for styles with underwire, thicker straps, or molded cups — and size up if the item description mentions "minimal coverage." Always check the product description for any included fit notes.
Finding the Right Fit: Bikini Bottoms
Bikini bottoms should be sized by your hip measurement, not your waist. If you are between sizes, size up for more coverage and comfort. Consider the coverage style: cheeky cuts run smaller than full-coverage styles for the same size label.
Finding the Right Fit: One-Pieces
One-pieces and swimsuits should be sized by your largest measurement — bust, waist, or hips, whichever is biggest on the chart above. Many one-pieces have adjustable straps to fine-tune the fit. If you have a long torso, look for styles described as "long torso" or "adjustable," and consider sizing up to avoid pulling.
