Fit & Sizing — Measure, Don't Guess

FAE is an Australian label. A FAE Large is a US 8–10. A Vitamin A Large is a US 12–14 — the same letter, four US sizes apart, on the same website.

• Tie sides make this the most forgiving bottom we carry. Unlike the Jones, which has fixed straps, the Birdie adjusts at the hip — if you sit between sizes, this is the safer choice.
• Between sizes: size UP. FAE's own guidance.
• Adjustable ruching at the back lets you set coverage from cheeky to full thong. Pull it in for less, let it out for more.
• Upper hip is the measurement that matters — that's where the ties sit. Measure around the top of your bottom, tape parallel to the floor.
• Colour note: FAE shoots much of its photography on film; shades vary slightly between production runs.

Sustainability

ECONYL® is a regenerated Italian techno-nylon made entirely from post-consumer waste — fishing nets recovered from the ocean, industrial plastic, plastic bottles. It is also measurably more resistant to chlorine, sunscreen, and body oils than conventional swim fabric, which is the practical reason these outlast cheaper suits.

Care

• Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every wear.
• Hand wash cold with mild detergent. Never machine wash.
• Press water out gently — do not wring.
• Dry flat in shade. Never a dryer, never direct sun.
• Let sunscreen and body oil absorb fully before dressing.
• Untie rather than pulling down; it preserves the tie tension.
