Fit & Sizing — Measure, Don't Guess

FAE is an Australian label and grades accordingly. A FAE Large is a US 8–10. For comparison, a Vitamin A Large is a US 12–14 — the same letter, four US sizes apart, on the same website. This is exactly why we publish inches instead of asking you to trust a letter.

• Upper hip is the measurement that matters on this cut — that's where the side straps sit. Measure around the top of your bottom, tape parallel to the floor.
• Between sizes: size UP. FAE's own guidance, and the fixed side straps give you no way to correct a size that runs small.
• Metallic runs firmer than FAE's ECONYL colorways. Metallic nylon has less give than the regenerated techno-fabric used on prints and solids — if you sit at the top of the Medium range, this will feel tighter than a Jones in Hibiscus at the same size.
• Coverage, honestly: this is a G-string. Minimal rear coverage, thin sides.
• Only one unit in this size. When it's gone we can't reorder it — this colorway came from a single buy.

This colorway is Italian-made metallic nylon carrying OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, which verifies the finished textile has been tested for harmful substances. It is not ECONYL® — FAE's regenerated-nylon program covers their prints and solids, and we'd rather tell you exactly what this is than let a brand-level sustainability claim stand in for a fabric that doesn't carry it.

The piece is new with tags: sourced and curated, not manufactured to order. Nothing entered production because you bought it.

Care Instructions

• Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every wear. Chlorine is the primary enemy of a metallic finish.
• Hand wash cold with mild detergent only. Never machine wash.
• Press water out gently — never wring. Creasing dulls the finish permanently.
• Dry flat in shade. Never a dryer, never direct sun.
• Let sunscreen and body oil absorb fully before dressing.
• Store flat rather than folded.
• Avoid hot tubs entirely.
