Lilac is the softest colour FAE runs, and it does something specific against a tan. The Birdie is their classic string bottom — tie sides, adjustable ruched back, gold embossed rear plate — and in a pale tone the shape reads gentler than it is.

FAE is an Australian label. A FAE Medium is a US 4–6. A Vitamin A Medium is a US 8–10 — same letter, four US sizes apart.

- On pale colours: lined throughout, so opacity holds when wet. Pale swim fabric is where lining actually matters.

Sustainability
ECONYL® is a regenerated Italian techno-nylon made entirely from post-consumer waste — ocean-recovered fishing nets, industrial plastic, plastic bottles. It's also measurably more resistant to chlorine, sunscreen, and body oils than conventional swim fabric.

- Rinse in cold fresh water immediately after every wear — critical on pale colours.
- Hand wash cold with mild detergent. Never machine wash, never bleach.
- Press water out gently — do not wring.
- Dry flat in shade. Direct sun fades pale tones.
- Let sunscreen absorb fully before dressing; it's the leading cause of staining on light swimwear.
